On 28th August 2021, the Alumni Relations Committee of IIM Bodh Gaya successfully conducted the second edition of its panel discussion series ‘ArPan 2.0’. ArPan refers to ‘Alumni Relations Panel’ and translates to ‘dedication’ or ‘offering’ in Hindi. An alumnus defines an institute’s brand and success, and this dedication is rightfully represented by the word ArPan itself. After last year’s 100% placement season at IIM Bodh Gaya, such programs enhance the new students’ perspective of the corporate world.

Some of the brightest alumni of IIM Bodh Gaya joined the panel. The panel included Anchit Kumar (PGP 04), Business Analyst, CRISIL; Akshay Kireet (PGP 03), Business Analyst, Newgen Softwares; Vinay Kaushik (PGP 04), Assistant Manager, Jyothy Labs; Kunal Bhadra (PGP 04), Project Manager, Dropshop Network; Ashish Singh (PGP 04), Senior Business Analyst, Tech Mahindra. Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, offered a warm welcome to the panel and the students. She congratulated the alumni and asked them to share their valuable experiences from the industry. A conducive discussion on the topic “Navigating the two years in a B-school to be Industry ready” was held among the panelists, which brought varied interests to the table. They talked about the relevance of the pedagogy in the industry, emphasising on the importance of being thorough with the fundamental ideas and communication skills. They also put forth the idea that coping with corporate pressure has always been about managing time and setting a pace to maintain a proper work life balance.Various insights were drawn on the motive, rigour and flexibility the students should keep up to grab the ample opportunities offered to them as an MBA graduate from a third-generation IIM. They ended their address by encouraging the current batch of students to enjoy their college life to the fullest and be open to all domains rather than constraining themselves to cliche thoughts and ideologies and to follow a positive attitude in life.

Following the huge success of ArPan 1.0, which was held last year, ArPan 2.0 came across as a better and upgraded version of the event. The audience was enlightened by the alumni’s expertise and experiences in the industry throughout the event. The discussion came to an end with an engaging Q&A session. Dr. Teena Bharti, Chairperson, Alumni Relations Committee, offered vote of thanks, concluding the event successfully.
