One of our very own Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa, once said, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

Hult Prize is a year-long competition founded in 2009, which takes place in over 3000 campuses across 120 countries, where students get a chance to show how they can make a difference by solving a social issue and thus making this world a better place.

The Hult Prize organizing committee at XIMB conducted the Campus-Finale round on 27th February 2022. There were eight teams that made it to the Campus-Finale round and displayed the competence of highest order. The event was graced by an esteemed panel comprising of Niraj Kumar Mishra – Founder of eleRide, Neha Wali – Director at Flipkart, Head of Home Business Unit, Gitanjali JB – Co-Founder and CEO HIAL and Sushmita Sarangi – Commercial Director at Taj Hotels.

The judges kicked off the event by elucidating the importance of entrepreneurial spirit. They also urged students to take part in competitions such as The HULT Prize, which is an international event cutting across nations and thus providing invaluable experience and exposure.

Later the teams commenced their presentations with the theme being “To create 2000 jobs by 2024”. The presentations showcased a plethora of innovative ideas, covering all the business aspects ranging from market segmentation, generating business plan to financials. The idea of understanding the pain points of farmers by upskilling them on IoT, smart farming, etc. by Team Fortifiers caught the eye of the judges.

After an intense competition among the eight teams, the judges chose “Team Fortifiers”, “Team Xtream” and “Team Dominators” as Winner, First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up respectively. The winning team, Team Fortifiers, is now looking forward to the Regional Finals which will be an exhilarating ride. They will be representing our institute in the upcoming Hult Prize Regional Finals and continue on the run for its one-of-a-kind award in seed capital of $1,000,000.
