Deepta Sateesh through her endeavors and Law Environment and Design laboratory believes in coming up with sustainable and practical solutions to pressing issues in society by blending in design with law. In her talk she focuses on some of the projects that were taken up by her and her team to bring out innovative, effective and simple solutions to complicated circumstances. The solutions are sustainable so that they have a long term and meaningful impact on lives of people.

Deepta is a dancer, an equestrian and a traveler, constantly seeking adventure and change. Although she is a trained architect and ecological planner, she has become critical of the way in which development occurs across the globe, recognizing the importance of the way in which we see the world and engage in it, through our practices. In order to explore and challenge current social, economic, cultural and ecological frameworks, Deepta co-founded the Law+Environment+Design Laboratory.
