Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, one of the premier Business Schools in India, hosted the annual alumni meet called “Sanidhya”, in Bhubaneswar on Sunday the 4th October 2015. The event was jointly organized by the Institute and the Bhubaneswar Chapter of XIMB Alumni Association.  Ever since the Institute was established in the year 1987, it has produced over 7,000 alumni, who are making their mark in the corporate as well as in the social sector all over the world.

The Annual General Body Meeting of XIMB Alumni Association, a body registered at the national level, was held during Sanidhya, which attracted a large number of alumni.  Fr. Paul Fernandes, S.J., Director, XIMB and Fr. Antony Uvary, S.J. Associate Director XIMB led the discussions and Professor LathaRavindran, Alumni Coordinator, XIMB, presented annual activity report of the Association. This was followed by a presentation by Bhubaneswar Chapter and an open house interaction with the alumni focusing on academic and other meaningful collaborations between the alumni and their alma mater. The students of the Alumni Committee showcased their activities through a video presentation.

Dr. Adyasha Das, Faculty, Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management, Bhubaneswar and alumnus, Batch 1992-94, enthralled the audience to one of her best musical performances. She is an eminent classical and a contemporary singer and is well known in Odisha music circles.

The highlight of the event  was “An evening with Rajat Kapoor”, in which, Rajat Kapoor, a very renowned, Bollywood Actor, Director, Producer and Writer of Bheja Fry, Corporate and Drishyam fame, interacted with the alumni, faculty and students of the Institute.

The event concluded with a cocktail and dinner during when an informal interaction took place among the students and faculty of the Institute with the alumni.
