Q2. It is not often that we come across a team of women entrepreneurs working together. What do you feel is the magic that works for you?

Building something with a small team is the beauty of a start-up. Belief and trust. Positive focus along with encouragement. Inner strength and confidence.

Q3. Your team has very diverse backgrounds ranging from Chemistry to Electronics. What made you all to jump into business and not take up a conventional job?

We all had some creative minds and wanted it to come out of us. We decided to learn Animation. Further decided to run a business. All of us have worked in esteemed organisations but due to unavoidable circumstances had to quit. So when we all met we thought that we can start up with a small business and manage both career and house at the same time.

Q4. Tell us something about the business model and your target clientele

We are a total digital services company covering all aspects of business well equipped to provide the best quality services at low cost thus providing significantly higher value than most other providers. At Arnima, it’s all about working with and meeting our clients’ needs. We partner with clients to create unique digital solutions that deliver results. Target clientele such as Builders & Developers, Architects, Civil Engineers and product advertisement sector etc. Our goal is to ensure that we always build win-win relationships and long-term partnerships.

Q5. What are the challenges that you have faced while setting up your business? Any mistakes you have made in this journey?

Starting a business is a big achievement for new entrepreneurs like us, but maintaining one is the larger challenge. These include things like hiring the right people, building a brand and so on.Some of the biggest challenges are:

Client Dependence

For many small businesses, having a client willing to pay on time for a product or service is a godsend.

Money Management

Money management becomes more important when cash is flowing into the business and to the owner.

Balancing Quality and Growth

Every challenge in business represents another opportunity to compete.

Q6. If you are to list down three things that an entrepreneur should keep in mind, what would that be?

  1. Write a business plan and a vision for taking your dreams all the way to the finish line
  2. Do the math – financial analysis, realistic revenue projection & costing
  3. Network, research online about your idea, Due diligence, visit conferences in your  industry, talk to experts and search for mentors

Q7. How have you funded your venture so far ?

Promoter funding with our own savings

Q8. Work-life balance is an important aspect of any professional’s life. Being a startup, must be putting additional pressure on you to maintain this balance. How do you manage it?

Running a business requires a great amount of work and being a startup entrepreneur mean your work hours differ to that nine-to-five job.Getting work-life balance is challenge for women who are also raising the family. But with setting priority of the task and organizing our responsibility we can maintain the balance and achieve the goal.

Q9. What would be your advice to young MBAs in the making?

Advice to young MBAs

  1. Be very focused on your aspirations / goals
  2. Have a short term and long term development plan both personally / professionally
  3. Work Hard; Play Hard
  4. Be socially responsible

Character is the real foundation of all worthwhile success. So build character
