Your points are valid, but you are opening a discussion !! You cannot start in this manner… as a leader you need to throw the house open for discussions 🙂

You need to give a brief of present scenario, both sides of coin in 1-2 lines and then take the discussion ahead.

Maybe a blend of the two is the right way forward… I dont quite see one form winning over the other in the long term. Online retail can never really give the same feel of personally selecting the product before making a purchase decision.
