Rehan would not be entirely wrong if he lets personal vendetta overpower his duty as a doctor to follow the Hippocratic Oath under all circumstances since he has lost his loved one in a war whose perpetrator is now at his mercy.
However, since he is a doctor, he must let his personal grievances aside and cure General Alcatras as a patient. Rehan shouldn’t look into the pros and cons of the General’s death cause it could have both positive as well as retaliatory consequences, which would be detrimental to Anarsia’s security itself. He must try his best to save the General and inform the Anarsian Police about General Alcatras’ situation. He must perform his duty as a doctor to let the General recuperate, report him to the Anarsian Police and let the General be tried in the Anarsian Court of Law for his crimes.
