Parul I agree that Sakshi doesn’t have the technical skills. That’s why I said that Prerna should help out Sakshi with the technical things.

As far as your point about hiring Prerna as the project manager, you said that she had the reqd technical skills, but she doesn’t have the skill of team management, which I think is quite important for a project manager.

As far as the salary of Sadaf is concerned, I think he/she will be able to understand the fund crisis. Also, I explained that they all have been promised salary hikes once the funding crisis is resolved which as per the case is expected to be happen soon.

Here we need to look at the viable options.

According to me, Raj Singh is not a good option. Although Raj Singh has an experience of 10 years and is an excellent project manager, looking at the no.of companies he has worked for,i.e 12, we can safely say that he doesnt stay at one company for too long. So Raj Singh is not a viable option if they are planning for the long term.

I think, they should go for the experience of Sakshi Singh, Prerna Rai and the relatively raw talent of Sadaf and Vinod. Sakshi can manage people well and Prerna has the technical and functional skills. Sakshi should be hired as the project manager and Prerna as the functional consultant. Prerna can also help out and teach Sakshi the  basic technical things needed for a project management. Sadaf and Vinod should be hired to help out prerna and learn a thing or two from her and also from each other. This way the company can also plan for the longer term.

As far the Budget the concerned , they can explain their funding crisis and that they hope to get out of it soon. This will help them negotiate a salary less than their expectation explaining that they will meet their expectations as soon as they resolve their funding issue.

As of now ( all in lakhs)

Sakshi-  max 10  Prerna- max 14, Sadaf- max 4, Vinod- max 2

Another option would be Peter Parker,Sadaf, Vindo

Peter Parker- hugely experienced guy. Worked for 2 companies over a span of 15 years which speaks for his loyalty. Also he has both managerial and technical skills. He should be primarily hired as a project manager.

He secondary job would be to help out the functional consultant Sadaf and Vinod when needed since they are both relatively inexperienced.

As for the CTC ,they can again explain their funding crisis just as in the previous option.

    Peter- 24 ,Sadaf-4, Vinod-2

I would prefer the first option since the second option would put too much pressure on one person and the productivity may fall

Saving a man’s life is the foremost duty of any doctor. So

    1) Rehan should not allow his emotions to get the better of him and should treat the general as any other patient. Without wasting time he should take the general inside and give the primary treatment.

    2) After he has been stabilized, he should admit him in a hospital for further treatment. He should also make an attempt to hear the general’s side of the story about the rebellion.

    3) Now since the general is a rebel and Rehan also has a duty towards his family and the anarsians , he should inform the police and let them take it from there.

This will make the general realize his mistakes and maybe he stops the rebellion. He can try fight the injustice in a peaceful way. Violence doesn’t always get you what you need. He can try and conduct meeting with the anarsians to reach a solution.

Since the startup is aiming to compete with the likes of facebook and twitter ,my suggestions as the marketing head would be.

    1) First,it should try and tap into a small customer base and launch it at a micro level. Since it was successful in creating the smart band, people will be eager to try out the new product. Then do a customer survey and gather the various opinions about the product, and implement some viable suggestions and try to improve the product.

    2) Now for launching it at the macro level, do promotional activities and public events to make the customers aware of the product and its different features.

3)For the funding, it can show its investors the success of its previous product and also the customers perception about the new product. They can show their investors their future plans for the product and how they will make profits in the future.
