No, your workex will be beneficial and not a problem. The criteria for different companies is different as are the roles offered. “One size fits all” policy does not apply. Please don’t look at it from a generalised viewpoint. As for the placement data, please refer to the document published in the website.
Please choose a stream on your passion for it and not for placements. 🙂

Avishek DuttaParticipantOn a different note, most of these millenials have the purchasing power and can be an obvious target for the marketers. It surely depends upon your product offerings but doesn’t it mean that you ignore this hen laying golden eggs. Should a company not having milenials as target audience increase its share of the pie or go ahead in increasing the size of the pie?

Avishek DuttaParticipant@Akul: You have pretty decent chances for IMI and KJSomaiya. SPJAIN will also look at your extra curriculars other than the scores. FMS call will be tough and narrow chances for new IIMs as they previously had a cutoff in excess of 96%ile.

Avishek DuttaParticipantAdvertising is a one way communication which has several objectives such as: awareness and knowledge of the product, it’s differentiation from other competitors and should show reasons for conviction in the minds of customers. Although it targets audience at different levels as per the product life cycle, it indirectly facilitates sales.
