IIM Kozhikode witnessed 100% placements in 5 days for the 413 students participating in the placements process with offers being rolled out by 131 recruiters, a 22.4% increase as compared to last year. The placements witnessed a 12% increase in the mean and 12.4% increase in the median salary from last year. The mean salary increased from 20.6 LPA to 23.08 LPA while the median increased from 18.5 LPA to 20.8 LPA as compared to last year. The top 50% of the students bagged an average CTC of 26.69 LPA, a 12.5% increase from the last year.
A host of marquee recruiters like Accenture Consulting, Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., BCG, Deloitte, EY, Infosys Consulting, Optum, PwC, and ZS participated in Final Placements 2020. Bain & Co. and BCG made 15 offers while Deloitte, EY and PwC offered diverse roles to students.
Finance
Contrary to the industry sentiments, traditional banks extended more than 65% of the total offers in the Finance Domain. Axis Bank, Citi Bank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, D.E.Shaw, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Nomura, and State Street offered diverse roles
General Management
Even with the economic slump affecting the market, our long-term collaborators like Airtel, Capgemini, Mahindra, Reliance, RPG Group and Tata Administrative Services extended more than 50% offers in the General Management Domain. AB InBev and Rebel Foods are among the first-time recruiters.
IT / Analytics
More than 40% offers secured in IT/Analytics domain are of Product Manager role from companies like Cisco, Citrix, JDA, Microsoft, Myntra, VMware and Wipro. Other prominent recruiters in this domain include American Express, Google, Gramener, IBM, Sabre,
WorkIndia.
Operations
Operations witnessed a 19.5% increase in mean CTC as compared to last year. Blackbuck, Bounce, Cloudtail and Udaan – first-time recruiters extended offers for multiple roles. Amazon, Flipkart, Ninjacart and Uber were some of the other prominent recruiters.
Sales and Marketing
A significant increase of 20% has been observed in the average CTC compared to last year. Prominent recruiters in this domain
include: ABFRL, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, GE Healthcare, HUL, Lenovo, Maruti, Philips, Pidilite, Samsung, Sony Pictures, TATA Sky, Tolaram Group among many others.
