This is the worst service in international roaming that I have ever encountered. I topped up with the pack of Rs. 1684 on the 5th of October, 2014 with the assurance that all my incoming and outgoing calls will be at Rs. 30 and all my outgoing sms’ will be at Rs. 15 each. I visited Germany, France and now UK, In each place I and my mother had to remind Vodafone constantly to update my service. It was supposed to be automatic. God knows how many fake transactions they have taken. In UK (the country of Vodafone), I have been for 17 days and yet the service was not enabled. There has been at least 7-8 calls incoming where I have been charged Rs. 70 per call. My connection was manually set to Vodafone UK/Vodafone IN. They are such big cheats that even when there is a perfect connection of Vodafone UK, sometimes they changed that automatically to the connection EE (because as then they will be able to say that Rs. 70 was charged when it was EE). But let me assure you that I have screen backups for each call with time stamps and what network was used. In each case Vodafone UK/Vodafone IN was there. They are incompetent and a big bunch of cheats. On top of that they continued picking up data charges of either Rs. 0.30 or Rs. 5.50. But my mobile data was off. So that is another cheating. God knows how many thousands of Rupees are being just cheated. After each call or sms they do not show money deduction. It is only shown after one hour and that too with no meaning when I check by dialing *141#. They can not even provide a detailed sheet with all call/sms details. Too much cheating and this was not expected of a reputed company like Vodafone.
I am a government employee and I will take up this issue very seriously and definitely write to the consumer court. Its high time they stop giving fake promises and high time you stop cheating. My mother has been trying from India to lodge International Roaming complaint so they have even stopped her complaint service. This is sick and weird. It was promised more than 2 weeks ago that my problem will be solved within a few days. When a person visits a country for 2 weeks, they take more than 14 days to solve a simple matter. I am sick and tired of their gimmicks, false promises and cheating. Please help me get a refund for all the fake deductions after my coming to the UK and they should give extra days for their services because out of their one month scheme of Rs. 1684, more than half days, it didn’t work. I had written a complaint on facebook. They have cheated close to Rs. 2100. It is actually even more. But its hard to keep count when they just deduct 5 rupees continously for data usage when my android set has been set for no data usage.
They are thieves. Big thieves.
Extremely disappointed.
