On 26th and 27th September 2015, XIMB hosted “Colosseum 2015”, the first of its kind sports event including the corporate houses of Bhubaneswar. The event was a celebration of the enduring relationship XIMB shares with the corporate houses and marks the beginning of “Athlos2015”, the annual inter B-School Sports Meet of XIMB, to be held this October.Infosys Limited and Tech Mahindra participated in this coveted event which was organized by the Sports Committee of XIMB.
Colosseum’2015 saw the teams battle out in various sports like Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Basket Ball, Football and Tennis. The enthusiasm shown by the corporate houses was worth watching. Infosys bagged the Champions trophy for Cricket, Football and Basket Ball while Tech Mahindra won the Lawn tennis tournament. XIMB was declared the winner of Table Tennis and Badminton.
The event concluded with, DrBiswaSwarup Mishra, Dean Academics XIMB, handing over the trophies to the winners and the Sports Committee coordinator,SurajitSar’spromising to make Colosseum bigger and better in the years to come. He also thanked all the participants for truly representing the spirit ofColosseum and for the zeal and involvement they brought into the game.
XUB always promotes industry and corporate interface and “Colosseum 2015” bears ample testimony to this endeavor.
