Reaffirming its domination in quizzing in the eastern India, XIMB defended its title as the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz Regional winner at the Bhubaneswar leg of the quiz held on 23 September. XIMB Professor Subhasis Ray and M.N. Tripathi displayed a great depth of knowledge and went on to win the coveted title for the second time in a row. The team will now compete in the Zonal finals to be held in Kolkata on 4 October.
The 12th edition of the Tata Crucible Quiz saw many organisations participating in the Bhubaneswar edition. XIMB team started as one of the favorites thanks to their performance last year. This year, the professor duo got down to business from the very beginning and dominated the quiz for most of the time. The team defeated corporate teams like TCS, Infosys and Mindfire etc.
The supremacy of XIMB when it comes to quizzing can be gauged from the fact that in last 6 editions of the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz (Bhubaneswar), it has featured in the top two positions 5 times and winning the title 3 times. Prof. Ray has won the competition in 2010 and 2014 apart from finishing second in 2013 for XIMB. Similarly, Prof. Tripathi was part of the XIMB team that finished as runners up in 2012. The victory this year will further boost the quizzing culture in the top B School of the state.
