It is with great pride that XIMB announces the successful completion of Xuberance’16 with 100% placements for the MBA (BM) batch of 2014-2016. Despite the prevalent ever-increasing competition, the students have performed admirably, garnering roles from numerous premier organizations. With increased pool of students, the industry has yet again reaffirmed its faith in our students by offering diverse profiles and niche roles.

Major recruiters like Amazon, CBC, Deloitte, Arcesium India, KPMG, PwC, TCS, Godrej, Tata Steel, L&T, SBI Capital Markets and Idea strengthened their relationship with XIMB. New bonds were formed with corporates like Maruti Suzuki, Vodafone, Bluestar, Dr. Agarwala Healthcare, ICRA Management Consulting Services, Emamito name a few – a testament to the growing brand equity of this institute. The profiles offered varied in their diversity, encompassing Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Strategic Consulting, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Marketing, Sales and Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relations, Business Consulting, IT Consulting and Business Development.

The Consulting area continued its constant growth and supremacy, 26%of the students forayed into this field, demonstrating the rich consulting acumen of the students of XIMB. Deloitte, PwC, KPMG,Cognizant Business Consulting, TCS, IMACS, IBM etc. were some of the major recruiters offering roles in Business Consulting.

The Marketing area lived up to its ever rising expectations with recruiters like Amazon, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Spencer’s,SAB Miller, Idea Cellular,Vedanta, Bajaj Auto and many more, making their presence felt by recruiting 24%of the batch.

In the Finance stream, profitable jobs were offered to the students by major financial corporates like Arcesium India, HDFC,CRISIL, ICRA, Royal Bank of Scotland, Tata Capital, IIFL, SBI Group and many more,resonating the strong belief of the industry in the financial intellect of the students of XIMB.

The Systems sector was the most eminent, with the major IT behemoths absorbing almost 35%of the batch. Major recruiters like HP, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Accenture Technology Services,Capgemini,Infosys etc. offered diversified roles in the IT sector to the young thought leaders of XIMB.

General Management, Strategy and Operations also witnessed a growth in recruitments. Renowned conglomerates like Godrej, Larsen & Toubro and companies likeRBS, Tata Steel, TASL and TataInteractive Servicesoffered lucrative profiles to the young and dynamic managers of XIMB.

MBA (Rural Management) 2014-2016

The School of Rural Management at Xavier University, Bhubaneswar successfully completed 100% placements for its 20th batch of 2014-2016 Rural Management graduates. The placement season witnessed participation of companies cutting across all the established major sectors of Consulting, Financial Inclusion, Development, FMCG, Agri-input, and Banking & Financial Services Institutions.

The uniqueness of this programme is designed to focus on nurturing enlightened knowledge leaders who would enable and contribute to the effective management of organizations engaged in progressive economic development and social transformation work. The MBA-RM programme provides a ‘MBA+’ orientation, which goes above and beyond the standard management curriculum to develop ethically responsible and value driven professionals with an extensive understanding of the rural context, communities, markets and opportunities.

  • Xuberance 2016 saw participation of 81 candidates from the batch of MBA-RM
  • 25 companies participated in Xuberance 2016 of which 13 were new recruiters

MBA-RM from the School of Rural Management, XIMB-XUB has become a sought after destination for recruiters from the banking and financial services sector. Various banks like Axis Bank and ICICI Bank attracted the best of financial minds.

Organizations like Janalakshmi Financial Services and Ujjivan Financial Services which have received in-principle banking licences from the Reserve Bank of India also rolled significant number of offers. This sector also saw recruiters like Satin Credit Care and Fincare.

The consulting sector saw organizations like Price Waterhouse Coopers, NABARD Consulting Services, Deloitte, Sambodhi Research and Communication and Microsave rolling out offers for multiple roles to both freshers and laterals. The highest package at 11.38 LPA was offered by IFMR Capital, one of the new recruiters for Xuberance 2016.

In the FMCG sector, Cavin Kare & GCMMF (AMUL) and agri input companies like United Phospates Limited rolled out offers in sales and marketing profiles. A significant number of students also opted to work in grassroots organizations and development sector companies like Rajeevika, Care India, and Jharkhand State Livelihoods Promotion Society. A whole new sector of CSR was added to our profile with Piramal Sarvajal.
